Fridge Pickles

This is a super quick and easy way to make pickles.  A sliced English Cucumber may be used in place of the pickling cucumbers if you are wanting large slices.


2 Cups Cold Water
1/3 Cup White Wine Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Salt
2 teaspoons Sugar
5 Whole Peppercorns
Freshly Ground Black Pepper, about 10 grinds
2 Cloves Garlic, sliced
1 teaspoon Dried Dill
5-6 Pickling Cucumbers


Combine all ingredients, except for the cucumbers, together in a large glass jar with a lid.  Shake to combine.  Add the cucumbers to the jar and put the lid on the jar.

Place the jar in the door of the refrigerator.  Wait at least a week before eating them.  The longer they sit in the vinegar, the more pickled they will be.


Yield: 1 Jar of Pickles
