Kalua Pork

Slow Cooked Kalua Pork is very easily made in the slow cooker with pork, a few strips of bacon, and salt. Great in buns and tacos.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1 Tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 7-8 lbs whole pork butt
  • 1 Tablespoon coarse Himalayan pink salt

Instructions
 

  • Lay the slices of bacon in the bottom of a slow cooker and pour in the liquid smoke. Place the pork on the bacon slices and rub with salt.
  • Cook on high for 7-9 hours. Shred after about 7 hours.

Notes

Let this cook for an hour after shredding for super moist shredded Kalua pork.
